The Boardman Tasker Young Writer's Award for Mountain Literature

This award for writers aged 16-25 is being launched this year to tie in with the 30^th anniversary of The Boardman Tasker Prize.

The aim is to inspire young writers to produce outstanding literary works of 1500 words which have a central theme concerned with the mountain environment. The Prize of publication in Summit magazine and £250 is kindly supported by the British Mountaineering Council.

The closing date for entries is 1^st August 2013 and the winner will be announced at the Boardman Tasker Prize ceremony held each November.
